The work Asterion; Diptych by Osvaldo Romberg was auctioned at Christies in Tel Aviv in May 2005. The price achieved of USD 2,640.00 (€ 2,137.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Asterion; Diptych is the most expensive artwork by Osvaldo Romberg that we have observed at auctions so far.
