The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,266.37), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Orlando Norie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mounted French Military Officers: 30 Works in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,660.42).
