Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work The Blues, Chobham, circa 1900 by Orlando Norie. The price achieved of GBP 632.50 (€ 1,035.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Orlando Norie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mounted French Military Officers: 30 Works in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,660.42).

Im Februar 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Blues, Chobham, circa 1900 von Orlando Norie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 632,50 (€ 1.035,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Orlando Norie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mounted French Military Officers: 30 Works im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.660,42).
