Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included the work Big Bang 2 by Ori Gersht. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,376.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ori Gersht - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 5 from Blow Up, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 107,100.00 (€ 92,711.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Big Bang 2 von Ori Gersht zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.376,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ori Gersht mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled 5 from Blow Up beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 107.100,00 (€ 92.711,22) versteigert wurde.
