Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors, which included the work A prophet in an architectural niche by Orazio Samacchini. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,898.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Orazio Samacchini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Baptism Of Christ in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 487,500.00 (€ 405,236.91).

Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A prophet in an architectural niche von Orazio Samacchini zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.898,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Orazio Samacchini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Baptism Of Christ im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 487.500,00 (€ 405.236,91).
