Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A. Photo Of Lucio Fontana B. Photo Of A Letter From Lucio Fonata by Orazio Bacci was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 6,250.00 (€ 714.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Orazio Bacci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dms 570 in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 10,466.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A. Photo Of Lucio Fontana B. Photo Of A Letter From Lucio Fonata von Orazio Bacci im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 6.250,00 (€ 714,37) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Orazio Bacci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dms 570 im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 10.466,64).
