Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Omar Carreño was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,363.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Omar Carreño achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 98,500.00 (€ 79,666.77).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Omar Carreño wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.363,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Omar Carreño erzielen.
