Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rowner Lock, Wisborough Green by Olwyn Bowey was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,766.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olwyn Bowey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gardener's World in July this year with an auction result of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,920.46).

Die Arbeit Rowner Lock, Wisborough Green von Olwyn Bowey wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.766,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olwyn Bowey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gardener's World im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.920,46).
