This artwork by Olwyn Bowey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The greenhouse sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,828.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Olwyn Bowey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gardener's World in July this year with an auction result of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,920.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Olwyn Bowey erzielte im Februar 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit The greenhouse für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.828,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olwyn Bowey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gardener's World im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.920,46).
