Artwork auctioned at five times the pre-set estimate
When the work Stiller Sturm, 2017 by Olivier Masmonteil was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2018, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 2,600.00. Admittedly, works by Olivier Masmonteil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Source in March last year with an auction result of EUR 18,900.00.
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Stiller Sturm, 2017 von Olivier Masmonteil im Juni 2018 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 500,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 2.600,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olivier Masmonteil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Source im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.900,00.
