Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Olivia Parker could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Selected images, 1980-1982 changed hands for USD 3,585.00 (€ 2,881.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Olivia Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ephemera: Photographs by Olivia Parker in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 15,535.00 (€ 13,381.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Olivia Parker konnte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Selected images, 1980-1982 für USD 3.585,00 (€ 2.881,60) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olivia Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ephemera: Photographs by Olivia Parker im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.535,00 (€ 13.381,86).
