In June 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and The Scandinavian Sale, which included the work Austrian Bauernhof (On The Farm) by Olga Wisinger-Florian. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 51,650.00 (€ 60,609.54), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olga Wisinger-Florian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blühende Apfelbäume bei Abendstimmung, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 212,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and The Scandinavian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Austrian Bauernhof (On The Farm) von Olga Wisinger-Florian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 60.609,54) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Olga Wisinger-Florian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blühende Apfelbäume bei Abendstimmung beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 212.500,00 versteigert wurde.
