Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Serenade by Olga Sacharoff. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,200.88), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olga Sacharoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Route, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 99,136.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Serenade von Olga Sacharoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.200,88) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Olga Sacharoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Route beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 99.136,00 versteigert wurde.
