Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Motherhood by Olga Sacharoff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,474.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olga Sacharoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Route, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 99,136.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Motherhood von Olga Sacharoff kam im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.474,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Olga Sacharoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Route beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 99.136,00 versteigert wurde.
