Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Neck, from the series Naked faces by Oleg Dou was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,254.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oleg Dou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,623.97).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Neck, from the series Naked faces von Oleg Dou kam im November 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.254,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oleg Dou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.623,97) versteigert wurde.
