Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Pictures Including Post-War and Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Mickey, from the series Toy story by Oleg Dou. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,312.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oleg Dou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,623.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Pictures Including Post-War and Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mickey, from the series Toy story von Oleg Dou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.312,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oleg Dou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.623,97) versteigert wurde.
