Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shinrō Ōtake achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Shapes Of Memories sold for HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 145,084.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shinrō Ōtake; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot RETINA SHIPYARD sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of HKD 1,800,000.00 (€ 219,342.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shinrō Ōtake erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Shapes Of Memories für HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 145.084,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shinrō Ōtake; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit RETINA SHIPYARD im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.800.000,00 (€ 219.342,03).
