Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Noisy Excitement by Oh de Laval was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 88,900.00 (€ 10,431.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oh de Laval - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Theatre, which sold at auction in March this year for HKD 254,000.00 (€ 29,740.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Noisy Excitement von Oh de Laval kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 88.900,00 (€ 10.431,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Oh de Laval mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Theatre beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für HKD 254.000,00 (€ 29.740,80) versteigert wurde.
