Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Odd Nerdrum could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction, the work Norwegian mother changed hands for GBP 77,500.00 (€ 87,974.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Odd Nerdrum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dawn in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 402,346.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Odd Nerdrum konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective wechselte die Arbeit Norwegian mother für GBP 77.500,00 (€ 87.974,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Odd Nerdrum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dawn im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 341.000,00 (€ 402.346,47).
