This artwork by Octave Guillonnet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Astrology sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,508.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Octave Guillonnet; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A siesta in the shade sold at auction in June 2004 with the realized price of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 21,342.22).
