Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by ob could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now & Design auction, the work Spiral and Spring changed hands for HKD 177,800.00 (€ 20,863.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by ob have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Wished that I May Gaze upon that Changing Forest Forever in May this year with an auction result of USD 165,100.00 (€ 154,965.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von ob konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now & Design wechselte die Arbeit Spiral and Spring für HKD 177.800,00 (€ 20.863,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von ob auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit I Wished that I May Gaze upon that Changing Forest Forever im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 165.100,00 (€ 154.965,27).
