The »bidding war« ended at AUD 9,840.00 (€ 5,871.86), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Lindsay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Springs Innocence in November 2002 with an auction result of AUD 329,000.00 (€ 185,534.53).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Lindsay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Springs Innocence im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 329.000,00 (€ 185.534,53).
