Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bacchanalian Scene, 1941 by Norman Lindsay was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in November last year. The price achieved of AUD 36,900.00 (€ 24,010.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Lindsay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Springs Innocence in November 2002 with an auction result of AUD 329,000.00 (€ 185,534.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bacchanalian Scene, 1941 von Norman Lindsay kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 36.900,00 (€ 24.010,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Lindsay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Springs Innocence im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 329.000,00 (€ 185.534,53).
