In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Cley, Sunny Afternoon by Norman Garstin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,834.52), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Garstin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Morning Lesson in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 49,597.31).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cley, Sunny Afternoon von Norman Garstin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.834,52) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Garstin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Morning Lesson im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 49.597,31).
