Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In Flandern by Norbert Schwontkowski was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April this year. The price achieved of EUR 11,340.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norbert Schwontkowski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „The Battle“. in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.

Die Arbeit In Flandern von Norbert Schwontkowski wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 11.340,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norbert Schwontkowski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „The Battle“. im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
