The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,343.52), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Norah McGuinness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Harvesters in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 78,500.00 (€ 99,855.43).
