Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Evening by Norah McGuinness. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,615.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norah McGuinness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Harvesters in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 78,500.00 (€ 99,855.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening von Norah McGuinness zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.615,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norah McGuinness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Harvesters im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.500,00 (€ 99.855,43).
