In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Black Wings by Norah McGuinness. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,930.00 (€ 13,984.50), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Norah McGuinness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Harvesters in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 78,500.00 (€ 99,855.43).

Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Wings von Norah McGuinness zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.930,00 (€ 13.984,50) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norah McGuinness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Harvesters im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.500,00 (€ 99.855,43).
