Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Baby by Nina Chanel Abney was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 625.00 (€ 532.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nina Chanel Abney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 7,210,000.00 (€ 816,683.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Baby von Nina Chanel Abney wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 625,00 (€ 532,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nina Chanel Abney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.210.000,00 (€ 816.683,16).
