In February 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Erotic: Passion & Desire Online, which included the work Arachne by Nikolaus Gysis. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,996.05) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolaus Gysis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Grandfather And Grandson in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 580,500.00 (€ 812,850.18).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Erotic: Passion & Desire Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arachne von Nikolaus Gysis zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.996,05) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikolaus Gysis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Grandfather And Grandson im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 580.500,00 (€ 812.850,18).
