Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Greek in The Tavern by Nikolaus Gysis for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,614.45). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikolaus Gysis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Grandfather And Grandson in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 580,500.00 (€ 812,850.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Greek in The Tavern von Nikolaus Gysis für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.614,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikolaus Gysis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Grandfather And Grandson im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 580.500,00 (€ 812.850,18).
