Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The portal by Nikolai Kasatkin was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,647.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Nikolai Kasatkin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2008 the work Summer, Studio Window was auctioned for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,020.80).
