Despite a disappointment, a good price for Nie Mu
When the work Bodhisattva by Nie Mu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 144,000.00 (€ 13,482.87). Despite this disappointing result, Bodhisattva is the most expensive artwork by Nie Mu that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Nie Mu
Als die Arbeit Bodhisattva von Nie Mu im April 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 144.000,00 (€ 13.482,87) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Bodhisattva das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nie Mu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
