In September 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Ornament Panel With Bound Slaves And A Birdcage (B. Vol. Xxv 56; B. Vol. Xxv Commentary 92; H. Vol. V. 105) by Nicoletto da Modena. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,053.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ornament Panel With Bound Slaves And A Birdcage (B. Vol. Xxv 56; B. Vol. Xxv Commentary 92; H. Vol. V. 105) is the most expensive artwork by Nicoletto da Modena that we have observed at auctions so far.
