Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Young Woman Pouring Red Wine From A Pitcher Into A Glass, A Still Life Of Grapes, A Pear And Apples On A Silver Platter, A Knife And Bread-Roll, And Oysters Nearby by Nicolas Régnier. The price achieved of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 140,649.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolas Régnier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Jerome, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 468,500.00 (€ 413,430.99).

Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Woman Pouring Red Wine From A Pitcher Into A Glass, A Still Life Of Grapes, A Pear And Apples On A Silver Platter, A Knife And Bread-Roll, And Oysters Nearby von Nicolas Régnier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 140.649,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Régnier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Jerome beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 468.500,00 (€ 413.430,99) versteigert wurde.
