Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Nicolas Ionesco for USD 687.50 (€ 536.94). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolas Ionesco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2008 for USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,764.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2009 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nicolas Ionesco für USD 687,50 (€ 536,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Ionesco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für USD 2.750,00 (€ 1.764,06) versteigert wurde.
