Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nicolas Ionesco could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 449.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolas Ionesco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2008 for USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,764.06).
