Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Member Of The Weasel Family, Possibly A Siberian Weasel (Mustela Sibirica) by Nicolas Huet was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,385.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Huet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Tiger in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 108,000.00 (€ 83,089.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Member Of The Weasel Family, Possibly A Siberian Weasel (Mustela Sibirica) von Nicolas Huet im Januar 2016 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.385,16) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Huet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Tiger im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 108.000,00 (€ 83.089,71).
