Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nicolas Huet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work A Leopard sold for USD 37,800.00 (€ 31,149.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolas Huet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Tiger, which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 108,000.00 (€ 83,089.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolas Huet erzielte im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit A Leopard für USD 37.800,00 (€ 31.149,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Huet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Tiger beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für USD 108.000,00 (€ 83.089,71) versteigert wurde.
