In May 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Nicolás García Uriburu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,677.59), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicolás García Uriburu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nicolás García Uriburu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.677,59) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicolás García Uriburu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80) versteigert wurde.
