In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Ombú by Nicolás García Uriburu. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,997.35), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicolás García Uriburu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ombú von Nicolás García Uriburu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.997,35) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolás García Uriburu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Marie Antoinette And Cats) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
