Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings incl.Leonardo da Vinci's Horse and Rider, which included the work A Wooded Landscape With A Gully; And A River Landscape With Travellers On A Bridge by Nicolas-Charles Silvestre. The price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,209.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Nicolas-Charles Silvestre have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2003 the work An extensive landscape with fishermen and travellers on a bridge, a town in the background was auctioned for GBP 4,182.50 (€ 5,466.81).

Im Juli 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings incl.Leonardo da Vinci's Horse and Rider durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With A Gully; And A River Landscape With Travellers On A Bridge von Nicolas-Charles Silvestre zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 4.209,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Nicolas-Charles Silvestre konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2003 die Arbeit An extensive landscape with fishermen and travellers on a bridge, a town in the background für GBP 4.182,50 (€ 5.466,81) versteigert.
