Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mexican Pottery Pig by Nicolai Fechin was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 145,657.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolai Fechin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Nadezhda Sapozhnikova in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,650,900.00 (€ 4,144,314.62).
