Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Amoset (Amesette) by Nicolai Fechin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 175,000.00 (€ 146,615.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolai Fechin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Nadezhda Sapozhnikova in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,650,900.00 (€ 4,144,314.62).
