Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A falconry party in a landscape by Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem was sold in the Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,970.00 (€ 14,061.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaes Pietersz. Berchem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Enfance De Jupiter in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 361,000.00.
