Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work Mediterranean coastal scene by Nicolaas Wijnberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicolaas Wijnberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At the beach in September 2008 with an auction result of EUR 10,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mediterranean coastal scene von Nicolaas Wijnberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolaas Wijnberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At the beach im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.000,00.
