In March 2018 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Opening Sale 1945-Now, which included the work Convoitise - 1946 by Nicolaas Warb. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,900.00 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicolaas Warb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fonction Vitale, 1940 sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of EUR 5,355.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Opening Sale 1945-Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Convoitise - 1946 von Nicolaas Warb zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.900,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nicolaas Warb; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fonction Vitale, 1940 im März 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.355,00.
