This artwork by Nicolaas Warb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in October 2016. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Transposition - 1945 sold for EUR 3,900.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nicolaas Warb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fonction Vitale, 1940 sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of EUR 5,355.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolaas Warb erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Transposition - 1945 für EUR 3.900,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nicolaas Warb; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fonction Vitale, 1940 im März 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.355,00.
