Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work A young marine officer by Nicolaas Pieneman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Nicolaas Pieneman have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2003 the work Rejoyce in the return was auctioned for EUR 3,346.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young marine officer von Nicolaas Pieneman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Pieneman konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2003 die Arbeit Rejoyce in the return für EUR 3.346,00 versteigert.
