In October 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work Skaters near Dordrecht by Nicolaas Johannes Roosenboom. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,250.00 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicolaas Johannes Roosenboom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Skaters on the IJ, Amsterdam in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 69,750.00 (€ 119,409.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Skaters near Dordrecht von Nicolaas Johannes Roosenboom zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.250,00 und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolaas Johannes Roosenboom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Skaters on the IJ, Amsterdam im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.750,00 (€ 119.409,18).
